One of the opportunities the team had this week was to help out at St. Francis Inn in Kensington.  Most would say that Kensington is one of the most hopeless neighborhoods in Philly. There are high rates of homelessness, drug addiction, and poverty.

But we are here to say that God has bigger plans for Kensington.  One place that God is working is at St. Francis Inn.  It is a feeding program for the local community most of whom are homeless. One of the distinguishing features of this program is that the people do not walk through a line to receive their food.  Instead the people are seated at tables as though they were at a restaurant.  Then the food is brought to them and they are served water and juice.

Our team loved their time at St. Francis and it was amazing to see people treated as people.
